Imipramine

Imipramine (also known as melipramine) is a dibenzoazepine-type antidepressant drug belonging to the class of tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs).

Imipramine was discovered in 1950 by the Swiss psychiatrist Ronald Kuhn and became the forefather of TCAs.
